MRR.io alternatives

Updated 2026-08-04

MRR.io does one thing: accurate subscription metrics at a low price, without the complexity of a full analytics suite. For a lot of Stripe-based SaaS that is exactly right, and there is no reason to move.

Where the limits bite

Segmentation and custom dashboards. MRR.io is deliberately simple. If you want to slice by plan, geography or cohort, you will hit the ceiling.

It is Stripe-shaped. Like most of the category, it assumes your revenue arrives through a payment processor with a clean subscriptions API. App Store, Gumroad and PayPal revenue do not fit that shape.

It is a web dashboard. Fine on a laptop; not the thing you glance at.

The alternatives

ChartMogul — free under $10k MRR, considerably more analytical. More.

ProfitWell — free, no cap. More.

Baremetrics — dunning and forecasting, much more expensive. More.

FRGMNT — a different shape entirely: a native iOS app covering five platforms with no backend and no account, at $49.99 a year. It is not more analytical than MRR.io — it is less. What it adds is multi-platform coverage, a phone-native experience with sale alerts, and keys that never leave your device.

Choosing

If you are Stripe-only and MRR.io's simplicity suits you, stay. The reason to move is almost always that your revenue stopped being Stripe-only — at which point the question becomes which tool actually covers the other platforms, and that list is short.

Frequently asked

What are MRR.io's main limitations?

Limited custom dashboards, customer segmentation and advanced analytics compared with ChartMogul or Baremetrics. It is deliberately simple, which is both the appeal and the ceiling.

Is there a cheaper alternative to MRR.io?

ProfitWell Metrics and ChartMogul both have free tiers. FRGMNT is $49.99 a year, which works out lower than most monthly plans.
